Research     Mohan S. Selokar, (Research Scholar) and Manoj S. Sankhe (Professor Electronics and Telecommunication Department) published a research paper titled  "Implementation of ANN-based closed-loop Multilevel Inverter"  in the International Journal of Mechanical Engineering  (I.F. 2.1)  published by Kalahari Journals. The article focuses on the implementation of a nine-level closed loop inverter.   Research       Padmanabha Aital, Rajesh Patil (Technology Management Department) published a paper  “Industry 4.0: an overview and further research directions”  in ICT Analysis & Applications by Springer Nature, Singapore (Scopus). The paper discusses the emerging industrial scenario based on convergence of many technologies to aid in development of Cyberphysical (CP) Systems which usher the age of fourth Industrial revolution (IND 4.0).   Book Talk on “BLAZE A SON’S TRIAL BY FIRE: A TRUE STORY”   The 12 th  edition of the Book Talk series organized by SKVM’s NMIMS was held on December 27, 2022, where the discussion revolved around “BLAZE A SON’S TRIAL BY FIRE: A TRUE STORY”. Co-authored by Mrs. Nidhi Poddar and her husband Mr. Sushil Poddar, the book explores the exceptionally courageous journey of their multi-faceted son Divyansh Atman, who even in his difficult battle with the big C, managed to fast forward his life’s timeline and live each day to the fullest. College entry plan: 70-75% weightage for Board results, rest for Cucet score.

 T he Central University- Common Entrance Test (CU-CET) for 2022-23 is likely to bring in a 70%- 75% board exam score as eligibility criteria for admissions to 41 Central universities. The move is to ensure fairness in the ‘cut-off race’, while retaining importance of board exams. The first Cucet is expected to be held in June and exam scores will go towards drawing up merit lists for undergraduate admissions across colleges affiliated to central universities from Delhi university to JNU  and Banaras Hindu University, among others.   Assistant Professor Marzyeh Ghassemi explores how hidden biases in medical data could compromise artificial intelligence approaches. While working toward her dissertation in computer science at MIT,  Marzyeh Ghassemi  wrote several papers on how machine-learning techniques from artificial intelligence could be applied to clinical data in order to predict patient outcomes. “It wasn’t until the end of my PhD work that one of my committee members asked: ‘Did you ever check to see how well your model worked across different groups of people?’” That question was eye-opening for Ghassemi, who had previously assessed the performance of models in aggregate, across all patients. Upon a closer look, she saw that models often worked differently — specifically worse — for populations including Black women, a revelation that took her by surprise. “I hadn’t made the connection beforehand that health disparities would translate directly to model disparities,” she says. “And given that...

Dr. Amit Kumar Srivastava, Director, Student Development Cell, AICTE New Delhi, gave a welcome message to the dignitaries.
