College entry plan: 70-75% weightage for Board results, rest for Cucet score.

The Central University- Common Entrance Test (CU-CET) for 2022-23 is likely to bring in a 70%- 75% board exam score as eligibility criteria for admissions to 41 Central universities. The move is to ensure fairness in the ‘cut-off race’, while retaining importance of board exams.

The first Cucet is expected to be held in June and exam scores will go towards drawing up merit lists for undergraduate admissions across colleges affiliated to central universities from Delhi university to JNU and Banaras Hindu University, among others.
