  One Nation, One Subscription’ to be launched on January 1. A t least 18 million students from all government-funded institutions of higher education, including IITs, across the country, will have free access to at least 30 high-end academic journals published globally from January 1. The initiative is a part of the Narendra Modi government’s  ‘One Nation, One Subscription’  (ONOS) programme that the Union Cabinet approved last month. Addressing a press conference, the government’s principal scientific advisor AK Sood said at least 13,400 international journals covering science, technology, engineering, medicine, mathematics, management, social sciences and humanities would be made available to researchers under the first phase of the  ONOS initiative.
