Vikram Kulkarni (Department of Information Technology) co-authored a paper titled "Power and Delay Efficient Haar Wavelet Transform for Image Processing Application", Journal of Circuits, Systems, and Computers, Vol. 31, No. 8 (2022) 2220001, SCI Expanded, IF: 1.3.The proposed Haar wavelet architecture is implemented in gate-level Verilog HDL and synthesized with UMC 90-nm technology using Cadence RC compiler. When compared to the existing designs, the proposed Haar DWT architecture synthesis results show a reduction in latency of 32.32% and 31.46% of circuit area.
